Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How long will it take to repair?

A. Once you have agreed to the repair, our laptop repair service will take a maximum of 5 days unless a spare part is not in-stock and we have to order it. Should we need to order a part we will quote the new delivery date.

Q. What is the warranty period on the repair?

A. We guarantee that should the unit fail with the same fault within 3 months of us returning the unit to you, we will collect, repair and return the unit to you at no cost to you.

Q. What are the collection costs?

A. Our optional Collection, Packaging & Delivery Service costs £26 + VAT, or you can choose to just use us for Collection or Delivery - which costs £13 + VAT

Q. Do you charge an assessment charge?

A. In the event you choose not to go ahead with a repair after we have provided diagnosis and quotation for any major parts required, we reserve the right to make an assessment charge of £15 including VAT. This charge is not payable if the repair proceeds. Please click here to see our repair service

Q. How do I package the unit?

A. If you use our optional Collection, Packaging & Delivery Service you don't need to. Our collection staff will pack it to ensure that it is not damaged in transit.

Q. What happens if spare parts aren't available?

A. In the rare event that spare parts are unavailable and therefore we cannot repair the laptop, we will return the unit and charge you just for the delivery or you can elect for us to dispose of the unit environmentally.

Q. What are the Collection/Delivery times?

A. If you take up our optional Collection, Packaging & Delivery Service we collect anywhere in mainland UK during normal business hours Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 excluding UK bank holidays.

Q. What happens if spare parts are required?

A. Once your laptop has been assessed, we will provide you with a personal quotation detailing the labour and parts that may be required. Once this is accepted we will order the part and repair the unit. Should you wish at the quotation stage to decline the quote we will return the unit unrepaired and charge you only for the assessment and delivery (or you can elect for us to dispose of the unit environmentally.)

Q. Can I contact you to find out when my laptop will be returned?

A. Of course you can, by phone or email, details on our contact us page. We will also keep you updated on the progress of your repair by email and SMS (on your mobile phone).
